Following the accident of Sriwijaya Airlines flight SJ 182 on January 9th, 2021, Mahakarya Geo Survey immediately supports BASARNAS in its finding around Kepulauan Seribu.

“Mahakarya is keen to take a role in this Sriwijaya searching mission as representative of Offshore Survey Community to support the nation,” said Henky Suharto, founder of Mahakarya Geo Survey.

Equipped with adequate technology, MGS aims to achieve an accurate location of the debris of the airplane as our experienced in early 2015 which MGS successfully performed Geohydrographic (Seafloor Mapping and ROV) effort to find the debris and fuselage of the missing Air Asia 8501 crashed in offshore Pangkalan Bun.

Mahakarya also played another monumental role in 2018 discovering the sinking KM Sinar Bangun in vast Lake Toba, North Sumatra, and Lion Air JT 610 airplane that crashed in Tanjung Pakis waters of West Java.

During this pandemic, MGS remains to apply a tight COVID-19 protocol in order to minimize risk and to accomplish the mission safely.
