Mahakarya Geo Survey (MGS), in collaboration with Meindo Elang Indah, successfully completed the Pre-Installation Survey for the SISI NUBI AOI Project in support of Pertamina Hulu Mahakam.
Entrusted as the primary subcontractor, MGS deployed the DP2 vessel at the offshore gas fields of SISI and NUBI, located near the Mahakam River delta. Operated by Pertamina Hulu Mahakam under the Mahakam Block PSC, this project prioritizes safety and speed, employing advanced installation new platform.
The survey employed a comprehensive suite of Single Beam Echo Sounder (SBES), Multi Beam Echo Sounder (MBES), Side Scan Sonar (SSS), Sub-Bottom Profiler (SBP), and Magnetometer. These instruments provided crucial data about the seafloor topography and subsurface structures.
The SISI NUBI Pre-Installation Survey is pivotal in ensuring the structural integrity and optimal placement of subsea installations. By accurately mapping the seabed topography and identifying any subsurface anomalies, the survey minimizes potential challenges during the installation phase.
With safety and efficiency as top priorities, this survey is set to contribute significantly to Pertamina Hulu Mahakam’s long-term objectives for sustainable and resilient infrastructure. This collaborative effort showcases the commitment of MGS, Meindo Elang Indah, and other stakeholders to advancing offshore capabilities in Indonesia.
